  • Why did Vitali Klitschko change his style?

before the injury he would go out and throw bombs from round 1 and get guys outta there but today hes more like wlad, is it because of age? or what? also, does anyone else think he lost the snap on his shots a bit or he doesnt commit as much as he use to?

He's fighting smarter than ever.. he's throwing less bombs but his punch output is even more than before esp. since he came back from retirement after 4 yrs.. he's more defensive because of all his various injuries he had that caused his retirement.. he hasn't been injured yet since his comeback & that is because he's maintaining proper balance & footwork & therefore is putting less on his shots to preserve his body..

He still throws very hard shots but mixes up the power & commits less. hemade Areola quit & cry.. threw Briggs in the hospital for a week because he cost him a knockout.. Solis also landed in the hospital.. ko'ed Sosnowski with one punch & has lost one or 2 rds tops in his comeback practically dominating every rd he's fought.. althwhile peeps think he's losing his mojo & getting old.

Adamek will QUICKLY find out he's nowhere near on Vitali's level & will get KTFO IN BRUTAL FASHION as he gets hit way too easily & Vitali NEVER stops throwing punches... this dude is no Byrd or Johnson & doesn't possess that type of defense.. he's featherfisted & Vitali will blow right through him.. knowing the incoming punches can't affect him.

He's old now. Alot of fighters when they get old they get more cautious.

There is no doubt that his power has declined but I do think it has more to do with the change in style then it does with age. It seems that he tries to open up more towards the end of fights and the snap just isn't there. It has to be how he trains as well. If he doesn't work on power shots in training then he isn't just going to be able to turn it on during the fight. That is the one thing that might cost him a fight here towards the end of his career. If he can't ko someone when he needs to, like lets say he gets cut, then he might end up with a loss down the home stretch of his career if he can't finish the job.
