  • Comments Thread For: Arum, Roach Not Worried Over Marquez's Statements

Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum had no concerns when discussing the recent comments from Juan Manuel Marquez, who stated that he doesn't have any interest in a fifth fight with Manny Pacquiao.

On December 8th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Marquez (55-6-1, 40KOs) knocked out Pacquiao (54-5-2, 38KOs) in the sixth round. Because he finally secured his sought after "clear victory" over Pacquiao, Marquez claims that he doesn't have any reason to fight Pacquiao again.

These goons are ass hurt. Ha ha.

      Marquez calls the shots now.

      I say:

      20 mil guaranteed
      AztecaStadium
2 Mexican Judges and another from Latin America
Timothy Bradley as a special ref.

They don't like it.... Oh well. They screwed Marquez 3x. Take the deal or go fight Humbert Soto.

So who should JMM fight if he wants 20 mil if it aint Pac or Floyd? And we all know Floyd aint giving up 20 Mil to JMM.

Oh well, rematch Ramos or Fedchenko right?

Yeah and they will probably tell JMM to fight Soto. Now tell us who outside of Pac is going to make JMM money and was why he decided not to retire...Bradley for millions less? Mallinaggi for even less?? Don't think thats why JMM decided on not retiring. He loves the war and the thrill and the money.

If this is a negotiation tactic I like it and think its pretty slick! Promoters are all the scum of the earth anyways so when a boxer sticks it to them like this im always for it!
