i like both fighters but i dont think canelo has done much to even be "rated" highly i mean kid has potential but he has YET to be tested i have questions bout canelo can he handle a PRIME vargas.?

I'll sum it up for u: vargas was active in an era loaded with hall of famers (de la hoya, vargas, winky, mosley) and damn near fought all of them...had he fought in this era of boxing he'd easily be #1, he's a very underrated boxer and was a monstrous puncher with better skill than he gets credit for

all the guys that have beaten him (except for mayorga which was a bs fight at a bs weight) got all they could handle and on different days u could make a case for him beating them. he fought the best versions of odlh and trinidad and the first fight with mosley was pretty even until his eye started to swell grotesquely
