  • Wach-Klitschko does much higher TV ratings than Thompson-Klitschko

In Germany 53.7% of the TV audience watched Klitschko-Wach yesterday. This is Wlad's 4th highest RTL rating ever.

Compare this to Wlad's all-time lowest 41.5% against Tony Thompson in July.

    EDIT:

Over half the people in Ukraine watched Klitschko-Wach, the fight had the highest possible rating:

And people wonder why Boxing in Germany is blooming while dying in USA and other parts.

HALF the country watched the fight. A HBO card gets what 0.1% 0.2% of the country to watch?

Because Germans get it, they give the fans a show, with entertainment, so you can bring a date or a wife and theyll be entertained, there are singers, stage shows, you can get fine dining and champaigne ring side.

Whenever I go to a show here its in a dusty arena with **** lightning and long ass delays between fights, no energy what so all....

Why? Because American promoters are cheap, they dont care about the fans, they just wanna nickel and dime on everything.

If you watch a Klitschko show, they been known to spend millions on just intro's and evening entertainment/other acts while guys in North America spend 1/10th of that just on the card and $20 having a secretary send out some emails to boxingscene and other places for publicity, then people cry why boxing is dying.

    Its ALL on the promoters......

In Germany alone it would be 11.77 households, well into the tens of millions of viewers.

But add Russia, Ukraine, Poland, etc and it would be in the hundreds of millions.

Hasn't been announced yet today, but it's always slightly higher than Germany.

And PolSat in Poland will have HUGE ratings for the fight.
