Bulgaria - Highly regarded California-based Ukrainian light heavyweight Ismail Sillakh (13-0, 12 KOs) came back for an obscure fight (which went almost undetected by American media) last Saturday night at National Palace of Culture in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. WBC #6 Sillakh stopped Latvian journeyman Jevgenijs Andrejevs (6-34, no KOs) in five rounds. Though it can easily resemble a shameful mismatch at first glance; Sillakh became only the second fighter to stop ultra-game Andrejevs who went distance with future world champions Karoly Balszay and Dmitry Sartison among others. Referee was Vencislav Nikolov.
