I think he's just decided to do more weight training. People forget that he didn't do much weight training at all as a younger fighter. He's now enlisted the help of a pro weight trainer...like Donaire, Ward, and many others....oh, wow, those two guys also happen to be linked to a guy who has actually been busted for roid use to all his athletes....Hmmmmm
Doing weights makes you big like Marquez, it doesn't make him better. Getting stuck into weights, as a daily world class pro athlete, at 40 will still get him bulked to ****e if he wants it. Nothing to do with roids.
Going from 135 to 147 across three years and not really bulking up very much is not nearly as suss as going from 130 to 147 in 6 months and still looking scarily ripped and refusing to take any tests.

Marquez deserved the decision pretty clearly in two of their fights. He didn't get it because of money, corruption and boxing politics. Going for the KO now is simply a bad plan. He's 40 years old, slower than ever, fighting a guy still in his prime years and he's trying to bulk up like nothing to match his KO power....? It's a recipe for disaster. He should be training for stamina, and more stamina, and more, and more and more and more.......etc etc etc. That's all he needs to convincingly beat Pac.
Well, actually, no, thats not true.
Maybe he does need the KO to get a simple decision. He might as well be fighting in Germany or Indonesia...or the Philippines.
