most guys with consistent body attack are slower than top flight opponents and use it to break them down and limit their ability to use their legs

that's the silliest thing i've heard today..
don't throw to the body because your opponent is faster than you are?

wlad couldnt work haye's body effectively
that doesn't mean he shouldn't have tried, or that other men would not have been able to work the body because of hay's handspeed

it was relatively easy to make haye get off balance because of the nature of his offense
wladimir could have easily implemented some sort off attack to the body, most likely just banging him to the body with a free hand and walking him to the ropes, considering that he's not a body punching wiz or anything

the criticism aimed at him for his complete disregard for the body of an opponent whose strategy was based on movement is spot on

      Wlad vs

Ali - always has trouble with guys that don't come forward, it would be an ugly fight but Ali would pull out a close decision

Frazier - Frazier's hurts Wlad early but eventually Wlad finds his jab jab hold groove and imposes his size and strength.

Norton - 50/50 fight Norton wins by decision or Wlad wins by stoppage.

Holmes - Holmes has the best jab ever but styles make fights and Wlad would use his length to out jab Holmes and win a decision.

Foreman - Foreman KOs Wlad inside of 5 rounds too much power.

Tyson - read above too much power Tyson wins by KO

Holyfield - Holyfield always had trouble getting inside of long jabs. Wlad methodically wears him down and dominates the 2nd half of the fight.

Lewis - ugly fight with a lot of holding every round would be close I'll say draw

Vitali - Vitali would be aggressive push the pace its the prototypical power(Wlad) vs chin(Vitali) battle. Chin wins 99% of the time. Vitali stops his brother late

With Ali it wouldnt be a close fight at all, Ali has a much faster jab and throws combinations and is a much better boxer, what would Ali struggle with? he has superior boxing skills and movement and Wlad doesnt block jabs and his jab isnt good enough to trouble Ali, neither is he a defensive master, and he also doesnt work the body or good
        the inside.

Can you explain how Wlad has the style to beat a boxer who has better movement, power, chin and a better jab.

Norton is a master of blocking jabs and countering, Norton would block his jab and counter and get on the inside and work the body, Norton has all the skills to beat him

And Wlad outjabbing Holmes is just idiotic. Not only was Holmes' jab superior to Wlads, Holmes has the longer reach of the two.

I think a bobbing and weaver like Tyson or Frazier would give him hell. They would be constantly slipping his jab and landing hooks to the body or chin.

Even though Norton and Witherspoon are not greats, I can see their form of the crab defense giving Wlad fits, because it would neutralise his jab.

he couldn't even throw a combination, what makes you think he could have conjured a risky attack to Haye's body when that would open him right up to a wild knockout punch

why be concerned about movement if the guy's fighting a purely defensive fight? Wlad moved around quite a bit himself and since when does the fighter who won by a landslide on points deserve so much criticism by a large group who have never stepped in a ring?

when you are fighting a defensive fighter you go to the body because it allows you to score points, and it also wears your opponent down for later rounds, it allows you to dominate on the inside and take away your opponents advantages of fleeter footwork and it allows you to set your opponent u for big punches. Wlad deserves to be criticised because of his lack of boxing skills and the fact that ppl are now suddenly calling him the greatest heavyweight of all time for beating a blown up cruiserweight.

Wlad had no problem scoring points now did he? Going to the body isn't a good strategy for him, yet he kept Haye scared and defensive the whole fight. He is dominating the heavyweight class along with his brother so saying he lacks boxing skills is just unintelligent. Haye is 6'2, he should have been fighting heavyweight anyways. He was keeping his weight as cruiserweight so he could win easy fights. Only a select few ******s have called him the GOAT, many others are just saying hes a top 10 ATG or whatever which I personally disagree with.
