The thing is you all bring up Carson Jones giving the worst version of Kell Brook ever a tough fight, reality is Carson Jones is a top 10 welterweight who would cream most of the top guys out there.
saldivia spent his entire career knocking out bums. the only time he fought a top 20 type of guy he was ko'd instantly in 1 round. he was also ko'd by one of his bums along the way as well. don't compare him to alvarado.

I think you will find they are top 10 welterweights with Brook closing in on the top 5.

And Alvarado spent his career scraping past bums and got thoroughly outboxed and destroyed against Breidis Prescott before turning it around, miraculously.
Who the hell has he ever beaten? And lets not add his gift win over a green novice in Molina.

Alvarado hasn't done anymore than Saldivia and he hasn't beaten anybody of note.

Saldivia has been knocking out C level bums with huge size advantages over him out, out cold, carted off on stretchers. Alvarado has been wearing down or getting decisions over C level bums way smaller than him!

That is simply not true. The special One has some "special" fans

alvarado beat herrera and prescott. saldivia has never beaten anyone close to that level and he's been ko'd twice along the way. not even close.

              HYPED HOW?

He is a up and coming fighter that is working his way to the TOP, he wasn't handed and Belt and Stardom then PROTECTED like SOME FIGHTERS!

Dear lord, the logic on NSB never ceases to amaze me.

What you just said here proves the hype, he hasn't worked his way to the "top" he's worked his way to becoming a contender. Last I checked being a contender was not the top of the sport.

Or how about people in this thread talking him up? There's a post right above yours calling him a top 5 guy 147. Are you kidding me?

Yes, the kid has talent, but he is just a contender fighting fringe level competition. Can we wait til he fights a top guy before we call him the next superstar of boxing like all the British fans are claiming on NSB right now?

Its funny how people are saying he's overhyped before anyone has even hyped it.

Its like some kind of ******ed pre-emptive strike.

I haven't really seen many people saying tonight's win was anything special. He put on a good performance and did what he had to do.

It's fine not to be sold.

However, there are as many trashing him as praising him, it works both ways. He looked good tonight against a high ranked opponent, that's what he was supposed to do.
