I reckon Duran certainly has a better chin than Pac. Duran a 10 easily. Hell, Margarito has been down as many times/more and been knocked out by Mosley while in only one division. Foreman down/stopped much more too. Duran fought from 118 to 175 pounds and was really only stopped by Hearns, if you don't count the Joppy fight when he was 50. Without doubt in fact.
Oscar, Morales, and Mayweather squeak in just above Pac for me too.
Hearns is too low. For a dude that moved from 140 to 200 pounds, he only got stopped twice by punches (Hagler and Barkley), and once by exhaustion (Leonard).
You need a good chin to do what he did. It's underrated. Not great, but it's certainly not bad. Bit like Lewis.
For instance, Pac hasn't moved up as many pounds as Hearns, and yet he's still been knocked out, and dropped just as many times, yet you're giving him nearly 10? Nah.
i really don't think marquez is a 9. his chin allows him to finish fights, along with his toughness, skills, and conditioning, but he gets shaken pretty regularly.
he's been down and hurt too many times for me to rank his chin so high. his powers of recovery are as good as you will ever see, but i don't believe that to be completely a product of his chin.
oliver mccall, for instance would take bombs on his chin from HW punchers and hardly react. marquez gets hurt, and relies of stuff other than his chin to survive.
