No matter how anyone looks at this fight, in any which way or from any angle it was a TOTAL*BLOW OUT!! & if it wasn't because Martinez broke his left hand in the 4th round, it would have ended by KO!! No need for a rematch cause all Jr is gonna get is a worst beating than this one....

        Martinez is awesome.

I thought the second bullet said "...than the mobile Martinez, although half his age" taking a shot at Chavez being so much younger... LOL

Maravilla should heal properly first, then take Geale to Argentina to take his belts, fight Floyd @ 154, avoid the SMW and then retire before Golovkin beats him up.

Doesn't matter. One round win doesn't mean anything unless you stop your opponent. Martinez rearranged junior's face.

                    Hurt? Yes. Senseless? No.

First off (because I imagine you might be tempted to bring this up in whatever weak-ass responses you make), let's clarify that the second time Martinez hit the canvas was obviously a slip/push. Chavez had his head under his arm and basically tossed him down. Pretty idiotic move on Jr's part since that gave Martinez a few more seconds.

Secondly, "senseless" would imply a loss of faculties, probably exhibited by excessive clinching, covering up, or biking away like a juiced-up Lance Armstrong. Martinez was throwing back and landing with force, ducking some of Chavez's wild punches. He was not "beaten senseless." He was clearly hurt, and I'll even be fair to say had Chavez not been stupid enough to cuff him to the canvas, he may have even gone down a second time.

In any case, an 11-round beatdown > one lucky punch
