Gustav Scholz - How good?

With a record of 88-2-6 over 14 years and against the best Europe had to offer at middle/light-heavy how good was Gustav Scholz?

I will admit that his prime years were after WWII (as were Marciano's peak years) so that may detract from his resume but are there any Scholz experts out there?

Had to be pretty good. Got as high as #2 at middlweight and #7 at lightheavy. Also seems to have given Harold Johnson a pretty good scrap in a UD losing effort. Haven't seen him fight though and am not familiar with most of his competition.

Scholz was really really good. I am looking for the Scholz-Harold Johnson fight since a long time, but I cant find it anywhere.
