According to Hungarian outlet monokli, former WBO light heavyweight and WBC cruiserweight champ Zsolt Erdei has announced his retirement. Erdei, 38-years-old, goes out undefeated at 33-0 and stopped Byron Mitchell in his last outing. Zsolt was then to fight Isaac Chilemba on September 29 but was forced to withdraw with an injury - and it wasn't the first time he withdrew from a fight due to an injury - and now he has called it a day. this bum held the lineal title hostage for years. his bum record makes calzaghe blush. These eurobums think fighting cans and retiring undefeated means something lol. like they pulled the wool over everyones eye's. It's the euro way. How dumb do they think everyone is. Do they really believe they can fraud there way into the record books or are they just scared of getting hurt?

FYI - his adviser has told us that he is NOT retiring. He says the reports in Hungary are NOT accurate.

He is better off retiring. If you aren't willing to be the best, you mines well not try at all. This dudes boxing career was and will always be pathetic.

actually erdei fought and beat good guys like Gonzales, Garay, Sahnoune, Ulrich, Fragomeni, Lakatos.
has some split or mayority decisions on his record though...

Erdei definitely wasnt a bum, he was very good. Not an ATG or anything, but a good fighter. and I dont remember a gift decision for him, although he might have gotten one. But not as many as other germans.

He is Hungarian, not German. But you are right, decent talent. He just ruined his reputation by fighting one awful opponent after another the last few years he held a 175lb belt.
