The worst part is, I can almost guarantee the show catches up at least two years before the final book comes out. I know they are stretching the third book into two seasons, they can probably do that with the fifth book as well if they want, but that is still six years or so from now, with two books to go. No way Martin gets the final two books out before the show catches up.
Definitely a huge possibility that I and am sure other readers are fearing. That and GRRM not being able to complete it. I'm up to the most recent book and have actually stopped because I don't want to finish it and end up with nothing to look forward to for awhile. The gap between the most recent book and the one before it was 6 years. Not a pleasant thought for eager fans.
I've read most of the books, so I already know what's going to happen in this series, but I still can't wait! It's looking a lot better than the first series, imo.
@ the offer of trading Jamie for the two sisters, one of which they don't even have, the other directly responsible for getting their father killed in the most shameful manner possible.
