to me it switched around.

they helped poor back then. now they don't.

democrats used to be rich. now they help the poor.

Well, in a many issues they have switched, such as, the environment, states rights, foreign policy, and regulation. I don't know if they were more pro-poor back then. But the Christian influence has remained consistent. Slavery was the moral issue in the time of Lincoln, and many of the Abolitionist at that time were Christian in the Industrialize North. Many Democrat Evangelicals in the south switched because of Abortion.

he used to be a republican before they all turned into bible crazy texans
(dont have anything against that but the bible isnt really a good guide to politics and they spend to mush time trying to outlaw gay marrage and abortion and not enough time doing real things)

my personal preferences would make me lean towards republican but they do stupid ass sizzle dick *****.

democrats are whatevs and tend to think more about the country as a whole.

i picked democrat in high school but have never voted what so ever. So i am not really even democrat.
