ricky hatton is below sub par he has to be the most overrated fighter of my generation. no significant punch in his arsenal that could bother a world class fighter in his prime.

ricky has never beaten a world class fighter in their prime. before his loss to floyd his two significant victories were over an out of prime kosta and an out of prime castillo.

when he stepped up to the world class level against a prime fighter he was found severely lacking. hisn hold and hit style is effective against out of prime fighters but against prime fighters it doesnt hold up.

ricky snorted all his floyd and pac money away and now he needs a few big paydays but he will fail again because he has no style in the ring that can bother a top world class fighter now.:boobies:

I think Hatton could be considered a great fighter but maybe the lower echelons of great.

Floyd needed referee help to beat him so hatton cant have been that bad.

Hattons biggest problem was that he forgot to slip the punches, just rolling straight in was never going to work...
He does great work on the inside..
If he slows down a bit learns to slip punches and work on his footwork I think he has a good chance of coming back.. If I don't see any of these very basic improvements in November then he is doomed..

          Trust me

Hatton was an exciting fighter to watch. Calling him sub par is stupid. When a fighter can make it to the top 10 and then become a world champion, he has done something very few ever achieve. Out of thousands of 140 pound fighters in the world, to make it to the top 10 is an achievment alone.
