        Thats how it always works. A title belt is like a trophy of sorts. You never "lose" the actual belt itself. Before the fight, the sanctioning body supervisor gets the belt from the champion. After the fight, if the challenger won, he is given the belt in the ring to pose for photos and celebrate. Then he gives the belt back to the supervisor, who returns it to the former champion, and the sanctioning body sends the new champ his belt in the mail, or depending on location might do a "crowning ceremony" if logistics permit it.....

          One punch: Not with a Lonsdale belt ya don't mate. You have to defend it 3 times before you can own it. Which makes it so special!!.............
