No, you have to been retired for 5 years before being allowed in.

And with Mayweather, it is highly likely that the retirement was there just to duck a fighter and will announce a comeback within 18 months.

floyd is a first ballot HOFer for sure. there is zero doubt he will be inducted and theres is no argument anyone can make to say he shouldnt be inducted or that its even up for discussion.

anyone who tries just proves that they are either incredibly biased or incredibly ignorant, either way they shouldnt be taken seriously on any boxing related subject.

        Stallone isn't retired

But still no matter what people think of him Floyd Mayweather Jr. already has one of his feet in it. Also he never ducked Pac, Pac just kept coming back with stupid requirements over and over again, Floyd would accept then they'd come back with something different, then Floyd would accept, and so on and so forth so no wonder Floyd decided to pull out...

Even if he was to fight Pac and then won, all you haters would just turn around and say something like "Well Pac was done, if this fight happened so and so Pac would've won"

          Stalone ain't a boxer.

You get into the HOF on one factor, your, contribution to boxing, but if he retired to day, would he get in. At least not for 5 years and the HOF should wait at least 10 years for Floyd, you are never sure when Floyd will make a comeback.

And we all know that if Floyd did retire to day, that he will be making a comeback with in 18 months.

I was a bit uneasy when Stalone got inductees in, but his character Rocky has made a contribution to boxing, and probably got a lot of fans and boxers into boxing.

                Go on then name them...

He chose to fight Baldomir (who was WBC champ and coming off a win against Zab Judah) over Margarito so people say he DUCKED him...pathetic

If Im not mismistaken thats a subset. I think theres levels for the boxing HOF and that stallone is in the one where people contributed but werent necessarily boxing. For sure hes not in the same one as regular fighters.

You think Floyd Jr will agree if his name & picture is place beside an Asian American Athlete?

Isn't there some boxing writers in there as well.

I think there is 3 sections, fighters, trainers and other that have contributed to the sport.

I wonder if Bob Arum will get in there?
