ALA Promotions patron Tony Aldeguer was reacting to reports that Fuentes, the WBO minimumweight champion had a better record than the one reported by boxrec.com.
Cebu-based Mexican Mike Lopez who works in the corner of visiting Hispanic fighters said Fuentes’ manager Jorge Barrera, brother of former world champion and Mexican legend Marco Antonio Barrera said the official record of the challenger is 26-1 with 20 knockouts and not 16-1, 8 knockouts as reported by boxrec.com.
