Wasnt the robbery of the year. A VERY close fight that could have gone either way, but not a robbery. (I was rooting for Maquez though tbh)

It is the robbery of the year because it was the most seen by people around the world and because of the caliber of the boxers.
And most of those saying it was close are fanboys in control damage mode, numbers don´t lie. Out of 29 boxing writters in the fight that night, 27 gave it to JMM, 1 to Pacquiao. Most proboxers legends interviewed gave it to JMM (even teammates like Khan and Linares did). Poll on this forum gave it to JMM 3:1 and out of all tv broadcasters around the world, well, practically only hbo saw Pac winning. NOW ring magazine readers agree, JMM gave Pac a boxing lesson.
So no close fight in there, the only protagonist that night was JMM right hand because Pac´s eyes were rolling every time it landed on his chin. Pac was off balance all night and most of his punches were out of distance... almost cried when the fight ended and couldn´t even dare to raise his gloves, he was asking for a rematch as the loser he was.Last edited by Phantomas; 03-20-2012, 10:20 PM.

Definitely the biggest robbery.
Marquez controlled the entire fight, kept pacquiao at bay, and made him pay whenever he grew a pair enough to risk a little. Pacquiao was seen so bothered by Marquez Power and counter punching he was content to eat small stuff than risk it.

Yes Marquez beat Pacquaio and Cleary too. But I think Williams Lara was worser robbed Lara of his undefeated record.
