Is Scarface an overrated movie?

Its very overrated. People walk around with Scarface **** and quote it like its one of the greatest movies of all time. Very overrated and isnt even in the top 5 gangster movies. Godfather, Godfather 2, Casino, Goodfellas, and Carlitos Way all **** on this movie. Theres more but its not worth my time.

Make the distinction though lol.

Overhyping something is exactly that. If we sit down and watch Shawshank Redemption and a group of dickheads start walking around quoting lines.......I'm sure we'd all become annoyed with the movie itself.

Doesn't change the fact they're both two of the greatest movies of all time.

And I agree that Goodfellas is a better movie......and the Godfather series has it's moments but they along with Casino are by no means head and shoulders above Scarface.

It's a great movie, not overrated in my opinion, unless someone said it was top 20 movie of all time.

It barely makes the top 10 gangster movies list. I can see why many have it as their favourite movie, but 'greatest' and 'favourite' are two complete different things.
