Depending on the result of shogun vs hendo if it don't end first round ko and join diaz daley, kongo berry, and fedor hendo as round of the year, this will be fight of the year!

Like seriously, what other fight could possible top this besides hendo shogun? Both hate wrestlers. Both love to stand and bang. It just doesnt get any better then this! Cerrone has to press forward to get in range so hell have to be aggressive and throw alot cuz diaz got mad reach and range. Cerrone bringing the fight to diaz is like sending a kid to the candy store. diaz will love it! Now that their training with pro boxers the diaz brothers have arguably the baddest boxing in mma! Gotta edge it for diaz! Both bros to be champ by end of 2012!

The real question is which is better, Diaz's sub finishing ability or Cerrone's top control?

Dont forget Cerrone was taking people down and sharpening up his wrestling before the Oliveira fight.

Sure he's be ready to bang in the beginning but what if Diaz's reach is to much and he keeps peppering him? You really think Cerrone is just gonna stand there and not shoot? Especially with greg jackson knowing that wrestling is the diaz kryptonite?

I have now doubt that Diaz's defensive BJJ will keep Cerrone from doing damage but wrestlers have been tending to win as of late sorely for not getting submitted.

Cerrones wrestling has grown big time and he won in the exact same way against BJJ specialist Vagnor Rocha.

If it does go to the ground down Nate have that one armbar or triangle choke in him?

Cerrone is clear fave with the bookies

Makes sense i guess he is like 4-0 this year while Diaz is 1-2..

Should be close though.. the division is stacked

Thing about Nate's boxing is.... it will be neutralized by good muay thai.

Cerrone isn't just hands. We aren't talking Jamie Varner here. Cerrone actually kicks and when they land, it's like a buzz saw. I don't think he will even have to attempt a takedown. Hands < Kicks. It's that simple and when those leg kicks add up, Nate's power and ground game gets taken down a couple notches.

Then again. It depends on if Cerrone actually uses his kicks. Sometimes he uses them, sometimes he doesn't. It would be the best game plan to use though. Since Nate's takedown offense isn't that great.

i don't agree there necessarily, I think that hands can neutralize kicks in a way too. Nate isn't really a power puncher, most of his punches just pressure you to react and wear you down. he doesn't really have to coil with pawing punches like that, so i could see him shutting the kicks down.

Not sure though, this is really a toss up fight. Both of them bring it. I see Nate submitting him though.
