  • Why Floyd is WRONG...

Floyd, it's OK for you to request (or even demand) Olympic Style Drug Testing . That is your right. You are one of the BSD's in boxing, and the Golden Rule applies.

HOWEVER, Floyd, you are wrong in saying that guys don't suddenly become good at 25. Actually, Money, there's such a thing as "a late bloomer". Not everybody is a boxing prodigy like you. This is where you have allowed your innate arrogance to take over.

Sergio Martinez is late to the game. He has become a great fighter. He is a late bloomer. And he is a clean fighter.

Floyd, I realize that you were sparring with Pernell when you were 15, and that you whipped Frankie Randall's ass when you were 17. That's fine. You are great. You have always been great. Only boxing idiots deny that.

HOWEVER, Floyd, there IS more than one path to greatness. By saying that greatness is thrust upon you early, or not at all, then you are wrong.

Floyd doesn't know the history of boxing if he thinks fighters can't become great after 25.

But then again he doesn't know alot of things, he was born out of a crackheads womb.

Manny already had 3 world titles before his 25th birthday. Floyd had 2.

It is just an ignorant comment because the whole diverse nature of the sports and every guy who gets to the top has a different past.

There is no set route to greatness that shit just happens.

It fits in with his views of himself, so whatever~

Now , why would a grown man need to insult someone's mother? Someone he never met?

What does that say about you?

Floyd is basing it off "well, I knew Oscar, Shane, Vernon, Diaz, zab, etc when they were all in the ams.".

It's arrogance more than ignorance. I think Floyd is very educated about the history of the sport. Listen to what he talks about. Look at how he fights.

How many guys talk about pull counters? Or check hooks? Or seeing another fighter's scar tissue?

It's just that Floyd is very arrogant about HIS beliefs. And it's actually kinda old-school.
