York Hall, London - Irish Dean Byrne (15-0, 6 KOs), a well-travelled former Australian light welterweight champion and America-based prospect, made his English debut not particularly memorable and struggled a bit to outpoint Mauritius-born journeyman Michael Frontin (3-10-2) over eight teddious rounds. Frontin suferred a cut in the fifth but continued to fight until the end. Referee Ian John-Lewis raised Byrne's hand with 78-74 win.
