    World Boxing Council featherweight champion Jhonny Gonzalez of Mexico has been confirmed to face Tomás "El Norteño" Villa of Texas on July 9 at the Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City, in what will be a co-promotion of People's Promotions and Goossen Tutor Promotions. The main event will feature a junior middleweight bout between Paul Williams and Cuba's Erislandy Lara. In addition, Akifumi Shimoda of Japan will defend the WBA super bantamweight title against California's Rico Ramos. And heavyweight Chris Arreola will face Nigerian Friday Ahunanya.

        gonzalez's got this, i'll probably watch a replay of this bout if someone posts it up afterward. but yeah, i'd like to see him take on one of the big names of the divsion after this though

                    Options are expected.....nothing new. This has been going on for a long time and is no reason to not sign for a huge fight....ESPECIALLY since Gonzalez is way past his prime and is not a marquee fighter and never really has been one. This would have come down to his chances to win: Slim to none and slim left the building.
