Are you saying if Cotto was 147 instead of 146 he would of manhandled Clottey?

Hopkins challenged Froch at a CW.

Floyd is however a champion at 154.
this post says it all honestly

Ward didn't drain Dawson... Dawson said himself, weight is no problem, and that he wanted to win a title in another weight class... Dawson WANTED to fight at 168.

Cotto was coming in at 146lbs before the Pac fight, and Cotto AGREED to fight at 145lbs... and Pac whoops him the same at any weight.
But you fail to acknowledge that Pacquiao wouldn't fight De La Hoya at 154 or Cotto at 147. And Ward wouldn't fight Dawson at 175... The only way those fights would be made is if they agreed to fight below their normal weight.

I don't know. Cotto did say that he would not sacrifice his body again in a rematch with Manny. So he told Manny to either fight him at 154 or move on.

No but the fact that Manny ducked the same fight for Mosley who actually looked good in his last bout just reeks for me.

Pac had huge balls to even think about doing that
It's true that at the time of the fight everyone thought Pacquiao was too small for De La Hoya, but that was based on physiques. People were shocked at how Pacquiao destroyed him.

But we know in hindsight that De La Hoya struggled very badly to make the 147 weight because he hadn't fought that low for over 5 years.

Not to say that wasn't a great performance by Pacquiao, but De La Hoya was really a shell of his former self because of the weight-draining.

He was looking to fight Hatton at 147 first, just wanted to beat up on a better rated midget. Why do you suppose he had the tuneup at 150 vs Forbes?
