they're getting rid of wrestling? isn't wrestling one of the oldest sports in history along with running.

it's fun to play, but even my fat out of shape ass can participate while barely breaking a sweat, so how is it a sport?

To be honest, olympic wrestling is kinda ghey, and lame. I love MMA, but the short outfits, pinning and boringness of it doesn't make me too sad to be honest. South park nailed it on the head with their episode about it. There are a lot worst sports still on though.

A lot of guys go into MMA with wrestling base.

it's bad news for MMA for sure, it closes or decreases one avenue for future competitors.

IOC officials have too much time on their hands...like playing golf. And probably thought that 'hey, this sport brings a lot of revenue for us.'
