          It's really a strange channel to put a sport on. I know people will say it proves they weren't that devoted to boxing, but the fact is it would have pulled better ratings than shooting or whatever else they were showing. Hell, I think the lower calibre boxing shows pull better numbers than football on NBCS. It's also been noted the women's boxing matches did much better than the men's.

          By comparison, the Strikeforce MMA event on Showtime which got their own highest ratings of the year were 500k. So amateur boxing managed to average within that range over a few weeks on a network not even geared up for sports.
