  • Comments Thread For: Juan Manuel Marquez - The Professional

By Jake Donovan - It’s not difficult to conjure up memories of ‘The Tortoise and the Hare’ when it comes to evaluating the career of Juan Manuel Marquez. There are thousands of ways to describe what he’s accomplished in nearly two decades as a prizefighter, but perhaps can be summed up by a single word.

“The best word to describe Juan Manuel Marquez is, professional,” stated Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum during a recent press conference to drum up interest for the Mexican legend’s fourth fight with Manny Pacquiao. “Some fighters are sometimes, some fighters are not sometimes. Juan Manuel is always professional.” [Click Here To Read More]

One hell of a fighter. One of the best in my lifetime.

I disagree that he surpassed Morales though.

marquez won't be in the history books if it weren't for pacquiao. he was so obsessed that he followed pacquiao through 4 different weight classes, earning titles along the way. he won't be the fighter he is today without pacquiao.

The Racket Squad: Prediction! The Last Hurrah and Resurrection!

Marquez will defeat Pac signaling a retirement that will last just long enough for Floyd to run after the Manny Money.

Unable to resist, the two will finally compete in late 2013 with Pacquiao outlasting the legless Mayweather to win a split verdict.

In this fashion, both Marquez and Pac will be rewarded for their service to the craft of prizefighting.

it was marquez that exposed pacquiao to the one dimensional fighter that he is.

Marquez should open a boxing school and his 1st student should be Chavez JR before He wastes his carrier like a spoiled brat.
