The audacity that comes out of the Kremlin doesnt really begin to explain the backwardness that is engraved within the leaders. Apparently Russia is going to examine the legality of a now more than 20 year old defunct Soviet Union's decision of giving independence to the Baltic countries, which were illegally annexed to begin with during the Soviet Nazi pact in 1939. Obviously this assessment is ridiculous and stands only to reinforce the image of Russia still being stuck in the 19th century, looking to recreate an alternate fantasy reality. What is scary is that this growing saber rattle might be a pre text to their next invasion on the Baltics, who are NATO members, which would mean this time around US and Europe would have to be directly involved. Who knows what intentions Kremlin has, but like a wolf who is being trained by the civilized world to be domesticated and socialized, it is still unpredictable and dangerous. The ultimate fact remains that Russia is a corrupt kleptocracy with an aging dictator who who seems to increasingly want to make his mark in the world before his time runs out.
