He is currently the #1 rated chess player in the world who just turned 22 years old with a rating of 2861 (a new all-time record) and is improving rapidly.

I know a lot of you don't consider chess a sport, but this guy is absolutely incredible. He played a simultaneous exhibition against 10 chess masters at the same time and beat them blindfolded.

I think he's a product of this new era of players training with super strong chess engines that are now able to crush anything that closely resembles a human (anyone remember deep blue?).

Kids young and has a chip on his shoulder . I remember watching an interview where he talked about feeling disrespected by Kasparov because he was so cold to him when they first played. I've since adapted a few of his variations on openings. Good stuff. I'm still riding with Bobby Fischer though.
