Let me tell you politics is involved because the ANC is or was associated with that song. In some majority Black countries (that experienced slavery), one of the easy way to get support (or attention) is to blame or say bad things about white colonizers or things associated with white colonizers. I have seen it work all the time in Jamaica and to a lesser extent on this Boxing Scene lounge.

Michael Vick made a mistake, did his time, and changed his life around but nobody wants to forgive him.

The difference is that Wahlberg turned his life around 20 years ago. If Vick can be a model professional athlete and stay out of trouble then maybe he'll have a chance at full redemption.
