MGM Grand Garden Arena is located in the MGM Grand in Paradise, Nevada, and is patterned after New York's Madison Square Garden.[citation needed] The arena has a seating capacity of 17,157 people

Pacquiao-Cotto also generated a live gate of $8,847,550 from an official crowd of 15,930, according to the Nevada State Athletic Commission. That makes it the 14th-biggest gate in Nevada history.

Look I don't have an agenda here. I like Pacquiao but I just think it is bull**** that they sold that many tickets in 3 hours with Clottey being the other fighter.

and yes I know the the difference in cost. I paid $1,000 to see Cotto vs Pacquiao.

The tickets range in Dallas is $50-$700.
tickets at MGM were like $150-$1000.

20,000 tickets are a lot of tickets. Even the biggest boxing arena does not hold that many people.

          Judah vs Cotto
With music pumping from a deejay brought in by promoter Top Rank to energize the crowd -- as if it needed to be energized -- the sold-out crowd of 20,658, mostly Puerto Ricans, wildly celebrated Cotto's victory on the eve of the Puerto Rican Day parade.

I think people may underestimate Pacquiao's drawing power.
