Needs some explaining.

Hopkins' best win is who? Trinidad or Tarver?

Toney's best wins are McCallum (beast), Nunn (beast), Jirov (beast).. even KOed an old Holyfield

Toney and Hopkins are roughly the same size, Toney was able to move up and win @ Heavyweight while Bernard fought at 160 nearly his whole career.

Hopkins' is impressive and lengthy but JT's is packed deeeeep with top names, even his non title bouts were against solid opposition...James Toney hasnt had a "night off" in more than 20 years...IMO...

Toney and consistent don't belong in the same sentence. He lost to Montell Griffin twice, Griffin was a good fighter but what did he accomplish in his career besides being competitive with Roy for a few rounds in the first fight? And there was the bad decision against Tiberi.

Oscar was just a name at 160 but Tito was legit at the weight, how many middleweights today would destroy Joppy like that? And wasn't Tito ranked #1 P4P at the time? This win + being the longest reigning middleweight champ + being the oldest man to win a world title > Toney's resume. And I love both fighters equally.

Toney was robbed both times against griffin but even then Hopkins lost twice to Taylor, so whats the difference?

If losses, draws, and no contests counted as being in some one's resume, then yeah it's Toney.

If you go by what you're supposed to go by, which is wins then it's Bernard Hopkins of course. But Toney's resume doesn't trail by that much.

Look at the names on that resume and when they fought, you tell me Hopkins’ is better? Do you actually think anyone on Hopkins list would have given Toney a problem? I doubt hopkins could go through toney’s list without a loss though
