  • Comments Thread For: Felix Sturm Open To Facing Abraham vs. Stieglitz Victor

WBA middleweight champion Felix Sturm (37-2-2, 16KOs) is counting down the days until his September 1st unification with IBF beltholder Daniel Geale (27-1, 15KOs) at Koenig Pilsener Arena in Oberhausen, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany.

Sturm is an interested party in this Saturday's super middleweight showdown in Berlin. Robert Stieglitz (42-2, 23KOs) will defend his WBO super middleweight crown against former middleweight champion "King" Arthur Abraham (34-3, 27KOs).

Ofcourse Sturm would be open to a title fight between the weakest beltholder in the SMW division.

Funny he has never mentioned Froch and Ward in the past, even Kessler and Bute when they were champions.

Expect to see Geale put on a boxing clinic come September the 1st only to see him robbed like the Sturm opponents of old.

What's funny is that Sturm ran like a 12-year-old girl when Abraham was undefeated and offered 2.5 million Euro for a fight a few years ago. Of course he will jump the division to avoid Martinez, Golovkin and Pirog.

unify MW titles, it's the perfect opportunity right now to crown an undisputed MW king with all these great MW title fights scheduled.

            Golovkin laughs at his fear.

Just vacate the title so Golovkin can claim it.

            Run Sturm, Run.

Does Sturm care at ALL about his fans? You change divisions when the division you are dominating is weak, not when the division you are in is LOADED, and potential unification is possible. Really lost some respect for Sturm with these idiotic comments.

Why doesn't he give Macklin a rematch?

It's really hard to like Sturm, a fighter who spent his career in the comfort of his own home. Now he wants to move up? If you beat Geale, why wouldn't you make the effort to unify the belts with the winner of Martinez/Chavez? This guy really is shook of the top MWs.
