Is Lionel Messi overrated?
I think he is, Don't get me wrong he is a world class player but when I hear people say he could be the greatest player ever and is much better than anyone else I just dont believe it. Is he world class? Yes. Is he the best player in the world? Maybe but is he an extroadanariliy amazing, once in a lifetime player? Absolutley not. He's very good at running with the ball and taking on defenders and can finish but against a well organised team that put world class players on him. He always struggles, I know because im a Chelsea fan and he did nothing in the two games against us back in 2009.
He did okay in the first half against Germany aside from his very poor shooting but in the 2nd half we didnt even see that from him. He was anonymous, and did very, very little. And it wasnt as if he was being closed down brilliantly, He just wasnt at it. At all. Ok it's only one game but he has only scored 1 goal in his last 20 games for Argentina so that tells it's own story.
World class player? Yes but one of the world greats? No way.
