  • Comments Thread For: Klitschko-Leapai Trying To Iron Out Australian TV Rights

Alex Leapai's clash with triple heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko could go ahead in Germany on April 26, provided the champion's camp agrees to the challenger's terms.

The negotiating period for the fight ended last Saturday Australian time, with no agreement reached.

Normally that would lead to a purse bid, with the highest bidder winning the right to stage the bout in the place of their choice.

They should let both fighters come out in Shakespearian garments and call this card "Much Ado About Nothing"

Wlad is screwed - he will have to fight all his mandatories in Moscow. Mandos won't make a deal and Russian billionaires will win the purse bid every time, LOL.

On a more serious note, Leapai shouldn't look at the purse bid for the Wlad-Povetkin fight. Povetkin is an Olympic gold medalist and was undefeated, the fight was brewing for several years. Leapai had one win and suddenly can challenge the top dog of the division...

It's not even untrue, to be fair!

People get mad at Floyd and Pac fighting low level opponents - who in reality are not low level

                but Wlad takes the pissssssssssssss

He has a few fights left in his career, why wud he want to waste them against a truck driver

Drop the belt and go fight Fury, Wilder, Chisora, Pulev...

He fights how many times a year?

                    2?

He has at most 3 years left, if he fights tougher opponents that number may shorten . There is a lot of HW talent out there now, Fury, Del Boy, Wilder, Pulev are all decent challenges and wins to have on ur resume

Leapai however isnt, this would be the equivalent of Floyd or Pac fighting Willie Limond
