Well done steaks are digusting is like chewing on a dried out piece of bubble gum. If you go to Mortons or Bern Steakhouse in Tampa and ask for well done steak you'll get laughed out of the joint.

the only reason people order well done is because they have issues with visual sight of the rare ness. it freaks them out. its not because it taste better. they dont know what they are missing out on.

Well done steak can taste OK if you have a really good cut. But if you have a really good cut then a rare or medium rare steak tastes fantastic.

I tend to order medium rare and that's how I cook the steak for me as well. My wife says she likes well done but always says it's better when it's medium.
