I'm not knocking the rematch as it should be a fun, satisfying fight - but it doesn't hold much importance in the grand scheme while you have fresh faced up-n-comers like Ward and Dirrell fighting and beating top quality opponents and penned in to fight yet more top quality opponents in the very near future. It's also likely that gaining and losing weight like he has will be to his detriment. As much as I hate to say it I just feel the ten guys I named are the better pound-for-pound boxers right now, but that's just how it goes; the old make way for the new.

Edit: I realise this sounds kind of hypocritical considering I haven't relegated Mosley as drastically, but I guess I'm just waiting to see where he goes from here before being rash.
Fair enough. Like I said, I respect your interpretation of the sport so I wanted to get some clarity.

I'm confident that once JMM whoops Diaz and beats one of the 40' champs you'll reinsert him in your top 5 rankings.

For sure, I'm a big admirer of Marquez; he has one of the most watchable styles in the game for me. If he'd taken the Khan fight I think he probably would have KO'd him, and that'd have been more than enough to warrant a good place in my list. Not that Khan is a world beater or anything (at least yet) - it'd just be the reaffirmation of JMM's quality that I need to see.

1.Manny Pacquaio (still #1 until*he retires or someone beats him)
              2.Floyd Mayweather
              3.Paul Williams
4.Sergio Martinez (let's face it, a win over Pavlik and a close loss against Williams isn't gonna get you over him. He needs to rematch Williams to pass him)
              5.Juan Manuel Marquez
              6.Chad Dawson
              7.Shane Mosley
              8.Wladimir Klitschko
              9.Tomasz Adamek
10.Timothy Bradley (the dude had 140 cleared at one point. These new guys like Khan,
Alexander and Ortiz have to answer to him now)
