If you were a trainer, how do you train your fighter to beat Mayweather?

Double everything. Double hooks, double right hands. Jab to the top middle of his chest. Floyd has a leaping left hook but the right hand comes straight or looping. Underated body puncher. After finishing any combo retreat with the jab to disrupt his countering. Rather than trying to KO the guy the fighter should concentrate in touching with his punches even if it hits his gloves or arms.

The problem facing Floyd is that he adjusts so well to his foe. You must have more than one game plan. Either he figures out a way to block it or a way around you.

The straight left is what gets in the most against him and its why a Pac fight is so intriguing

not true that crouch can lead to a lead right aswell..and that lean forward can be a leaping left hook...he is unpredictable

So just make sure your in shape and can punch him hard for 12 rounds is the main thing.
he likes to fight fighters who gas late???or is the fact that they are missing 80 percent of their punches the reason they are tired?

I think a bully kind of guy like margaritto but faster that will apply pressure and come forward the whole fight has a good chance as long as he has the stamina remember Floyd usually wins because of his defense and pot shots and makes a lopsided fight u can't try and out box him because u will lose thats y a lot of ppl thinks the old manny had a great chance because non stop pressure 1200-1300 punches with the power and stamina is hard to beat u will either outscore him or the ref will stop it or maybe even ko if u don't get ko'd yourself for being so wild but like roach says out work him every second of every round

Oh, so give him cement handwraps. Ya, that might do it.

LOL @ a lot of these responses.

You'd have to get a fighter into a time capsule til an era where that fighter was 4-5 years old (Floyd started fighting around then) and train him in a similar or BETTER manner than Floyd was trained. Teaching that fighter everything in boxing skills and boxing knowledge. When that fighter turns 18 or 21, bring that fighter back into the time capsule to this very day.

Now you finally have a fighter that can defeat Floyd Mayweather or at the very least give him the greatest nightmare of his life. Unfortunately, there is no fighter today that can match him in boxing skills and ring IQ. The next best technical boxer with a high ring IQ today, is Marquez. And then Andre Ward. But it remains to be seen if Ward has a boxing IQ that is even as good as Marquez.
