And in Denver just recently, I had a nice talk about boxing history with Ron Lyle. Hell of a nice guy.
Being able to talk with Ron Lyle would be an awesome conversation. How long did you get to talk? What did you guys talk about?

I thought this was personal memories of fighters we've seen train, my bad.

I met Winky Wright at Cedars steak house in the Foxwoods casino before Jirov-Toney (I think) and we talked for a couple of minutes. Nice guy, very laid back.

I spoke with Nate Campbell by phone after he gave Peden a free shot and was ko'd. Very nice guy who seemed very sincere and made no excuses. He told me to get in touch with him after his next fight in Connecticut, but I never did.

Sat and drank with Marvin Hagler in a NH bar. I wouldn't call him real friendly, but he gave me the IBHOF hat off his head and signed it.That was pretty cool.

Shook hands with George Foreman at the Lewis-Briggs fight in Atlantic city and remember thinking he seem so much bigger than he really is. His hands were huge!

Have had Vinny Paz help me in the gym and give me pointers numerous times back when I trained in at RI boxing.

My favorite memory is meeting Willie Pep during the preliminaries of one of Pazs last fights. He sat down with me and my friends for about 10 or 15 minutes. Such a nice man. Very small and could have been anyone's grandfather. What sicks out most though is we didn't talk boxing at all. He wanted to know about each of us and was genuinely interested. I can't describe how that made me feel, but when he passed on a few years later I felt affected and have always wondered how a person I only spoke with for a fraction of a blink in time could make me feel that way.I been a huge fan since.

Just recently, I was at an Amatuer Boxing show and Ken Buchanan was there. The guys kept offering him ringside seats and a VIP pass but, he refused about 4 times preferring to sit on the crappy seats with the fans.

I've met a ton of champions, contenders and everybody in between. But my favorite fighter is easily a guy named Kady King out of Detroit. He helped me when I was younger, always heard his voice in my fights trying to instruct me and keep me on the right plan. But the thing about Kady, besides being a talented fighter, is that he was always just a riot to have around. Always cracking jokes. I love that guy, haven't seen him in awhile though...........Rockin'

He might have been. He lost to Darius Mic for the light heavy title. He didn't show his talent at all in that fight though. Great guy to be around...........Rockin'

He was on tv a bunch, I know I recorded him against a guy named Joel "Dynamo" Humm and later against Julian Letterlough. The Dariusz Michalczewski fight was aired on German TV because I have a copy of it.
There's probably alot more but I am only part way through my old vhs tapes.

I've heard stories of Marvin not being a very friendly guy.

Can you tell me how he wasn't a very friendly guy? (If you don't mind me asking).
