According to Carlos Oliveira, the father and agent of junior middleweight contender Michael Oliveira (19-1, 14KOs), the team is still negotiating a potential fight against Omar Chavez (28-2-1, 21KOs). Earlier this year, Oliveira was knocked out in his anticipated fight against the returning Acelino Freitas - but he already picked up two victories since the defeat. Chavez has been inactive since the July decision loss to countryman Jorge Paez Jr.
