  • Comments Thread For: Photos: Rico Ramos Training Hard For Rigondeaux Bout

It was another packed scene at the Mayweather Boxing Club in Las Vegas, Nevada. WBA junior featherweight champion Rico Ramos was in the building, as the 24-year old is now a little over two weeks away from a crucial meeting with interim titlist Guillermo Rigondeaux. Ramos meets Rigondeaux at the nearby Palms Hotel and Casino on January 20th and he had the look of confidence during his training.

I disagree. I expect Rigo to win, in part because I don't think all that highly of Rico. I think Ramos is a decent fighter, but he was clearly losing his fight with Shimoda. One perfectly placed shot won him the title. I don't see that happening again anytime soon. I can see "El Chacal" dominating the fight more so than Shimoda...but closing the show. Rigondeaux knows what happened in Ramos's last fight; he won't allow the same thing to happen to him. If "Suavecito" gets past Rigo, I'll be impressed.

This fight has been a long time comin'. I hope it turns out to be worth the wait.

Rigo is send Ramos really bad to school. No way Ramos can win this fight at all. Rigo is one of the most talented fighter out there. I hope Bob Arum put Rigo and Nonaire together. It's shame what Arum is doing with boxing. It's all about him.

Rico ain't the truth he was getting out-boxed easily in his last fight and only won cuz of that lucky one hit KO that even surprised him. he also doesn't like to get hit and seems to not have the heart of a fighter based on stuff he's said.

he also wears a lip ring. a lip ring dammit! lol

Rico is also kind of slow... not trying to offend anyone but something is off up there. Watch his interviews..
