  • Comments Thread For: Mayweather-Canelo: Schaefer, Ellerbe Discuss The Fight

As BoxingScene.com previously reported, a deal has been finalized for a junior middleweight mega-showdown between Floyd Mayweather Jr. (44-0-, 26KOs) and Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (42-0-1, 30KOs) for September 14th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The two fighters will battle at a catch-weight of 152-pounds for the WBC/WBA Super/Ring/WBA titles on Showtime Pay-Per-View.

"Canelo came in and signed the deal. We negotiated back and forth. We have been working on this literally day and night and finally got it done today, literary an hour ago and both signed off, “said Golden Boy Promotions CEO, Richard Schaefer, to BoxingScene.com. “I think a lot of experts will chime in on this one, with half of the money going on Mayweather and half of the money going on Canelo.“

A lot of insiders, and people in the industry, were doubting that Mayweather-Canelo was going to happen on September 14th. Some were even doubting that Mayweather was actually going to fight on the date. [Click Here To Read More]

I schooled you on here earlier today! No respect? You puszy was crying he wouldn't fight him! When Canelo will out weigh Floyd by double digits on fight night how is that not fair for Canelo?

Hating ass... Let Floyd have a 10-15 pound weight advantage over a fighter you never hear the end of it!

Floyd JUNIOR STILL Won't Fight Pacquiao... He's Just That Scared

Canelo will knock out Floyd in 3 rounds. Mosley at 40 years old nearly had Floyd out. Cotto well past his prime turned it into a street fight for 12 rounds and made Floyd fight; bloodied his face up. Floyd chose to take a different tactic and run all night pot shotting from the outside with Guerrero, once he felt his power in the first couple rounds. Canelo is none of those guys. This is the end of the road for Floyd. EVEN if he runs again, Canelo will cut himoff, steal his heart, make him quit, then knock him out. Just remember Floyd what happened to Roy Jones after he hand picked his opponents his entire career, and one night hand picked the wrong guy named Antonio Tarver. What's your excuse gonna be Floyd when your corner carries you back to your stool???

he already had a big size advantage over hatton and a massive size advantage over marquez and you guys wouldn't get off his nuts about it. he just had a size advantage over guerrero and you stans all jizzed on your panties over it. i still like the fight but straight up floyd is *****

                    Mayweather- canelo

When Floyd fought Cotto he said he wanted to fight him at 154 his natural weight he wanted him comfortable at his best not drained. Now to unify the 154 division floyd wants a 152 catch weight . How is that a 154 unification . Floyd is a C&&NT.
