    Changing the scoring system won't solve corruption. I hope the AIBA becomes more proactive in reviewing decisions and not being afraid to pull the trigger when they need to. It's really the only answer I can think of.

          According to another important boxing site, AIBA overturned the decision.

          AIBA overturns the result of Bout #150

          London, Great Britain, 2 August 2012 - After reviewing the video of Bout #105 involving Bantamweights Satoshi Shimizu (Japan) and Magomed Abdulhamidov (Azerbaijan), the Competition Jury made the following decision:

          - The boxer from Azerbaijan fell down six (6) times during the 3rd round. According to our rules, the Referee should have counted at least three (3) times. In this case, following the AIBA Technical & Competition Rules, the decision should have been RSC (Referee Stop Contest);

          - Therefore the protest lodged by the Japanese corner is accepted and the result of this bout overturned.

          AIBA officials will consider on Thursday morning whether to sanction the referee of this bout.

            it's not even boxing, it's just the olympics...anybody that thinks the olympics are the clean event they're made out to be is just fooling themselves.

              Can anyone think of a more poorly officiated round of boxing? There are a lot of bad ones, but off the top of my head. This might be at the top.

                The thing is, in the past, you could see the punch count. Now you can't, so they can really **** fighters over.

                  Yes you can, the punch stats are shown live in the arena, just not on tv, not sure why

                    They need to be smart with it like China...you don't buy medals, you buy the entire sport and make sure it stays in the Olympics.

                      Just saw the video. Not nearly as bad as everyone is saying. I see why someone would be made, but its not the most obvious thing ever. The guy was exhausted, not hurt. All but the first time he fell from being leaned on.
