The former WBO featherweight champion Juan Manuel Lopez (30-1, 27KOs) has passed his recent medical examinations, which took place after his first career defeat. On April 16 in Bayamon he was knocked out in eight rounds by Mexico's Orlando Salido. He says a rematch may take place on August 20 at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

I'd pick Salido. Maybe sooner 2nd time around.
Depends on how much JuanMa can change?

I feel Juanma is going to win the rematch. He just needs to improve his defense without compesating that much of his offense.

juanma looked slow in there like he said "I had no speed" if he can improve that and work on reflexes he would be good for a very long time. You can do it Juan!

juanma is eager to have a rematch and that's understandable...he should prepare himself well...but if he brings the same style in the rematch, there is no way he can get even with salido...

salido is a c-class figher, juanma is b-class figher but salido is busier and determined to win...his intensity pays off..

both gamboa and donaire can knocked out either juanma or salido...

Arum is just making excuses for Juanma, cause it doesn't matter where Juanma would have trained for the fight against Salido, it wasn't going to change the outcome of what happened..Juanma himself said he was in the best shape of his life & that his personal life problems didn't distract him..& Juanma keeps on saying he didn't have any speed when he fought Salido & even got someone(Edwin Rivera) to help him better his speed, yet it seems he doesn't realize that WASN'T the problem..Speed doesn't really bother Salido(cause of his style) & Salido showed that against Gamboa, who's is fast & Juanma could NEVER match Gamboa on speed..The problem was ALL them straight right hand punches Juanma ate all night, they were landing flush & hard!! & add the uppers he was also snacking on.. Juanma needs to work on his defense & especially on avoiding them right hands..Juanma could come in faster, but if he doesn't work on his defense, expect more or less the same outcome..The problem is not where he trains, is how he trains & what they work on & coming into the fight in condition & with the RIGHT STRATEGY!!..
