Hardcore fans were looking forward to it. A little known cuban vs a little known armenian as the main event is a hard sell to the public unfortuantely.

Mares and Santa Cruz are not the biggest names so idk if it did that well in ratings. id be interested to see if Showtime beat out HBO in the ratings.

Does that include the same day replay?

Also didn't GGG get about 500k or something?

You know I have to say even though ratings seem to be up on both Showtime and HBO this is starting to remind me of when Calzaghe pulled HBO's lowest ratings ever then at 1.9 million. People laughed at Calzhage but then suddenly ratings started dropping across the board. Now we celebrate 1 million viewers.

But before we go into any discussion on boxing falling it's important to note than since around 2005 TV ratings for everything have fallen quite a bit. Also seems strange that HBO's numbers fell so much yet I think Showtime's started increasing in the same period.

Not saying you're lying, but do you have a link for this? Seems extremely low.

Id say this weeks Hbo Championship Boxing will do over 1 million with Broner who gets people to tune in to hopefully see him lose and also with Seth Mitchell who is being groomed as the next US Heavyweight Champ.
