    Bert Randolph Sugar, the Hall of Fame boxing writer known as much for his trademark cigar and witticisms as he was for his perspectives on the sweet science, died Sunday after a battle with lung cancer, according to CBS New York.

    He's been poked at a lot in the time I've been on this site, but the man was a well known face for this sport.

              Have read a lot of his work. Always sad to see someone with that kind of knowledge leave the world. Pieces of boxing history are lost as each boxing mind leaves. RIP Bert.
