  • With Berto out, Maidana vs. Alexander winner to get Ortiz in June

    By David Kassel | January 31, 2012

Sources close to the situation have informed FightHype that the winner of the February 25th welterweight clash between Devon Alexander and Marcos Maidana will likely face Victor Ortiz in June. The news comes just one day after Andre Berto suffered a ruptured left bicep, requiring surgery to repair and canceling his fight with Ortiz on February 11th.

I think he's made it to the other side, confidence wise.

Jury's still out on that. Marcos a much different challenge than Berto.

Damn are you serious? Ortiz is on a serious rhythm, getting tons of rounds in with campbell, lamont peterson, berto.

Its exactly why I thought the 34 year old mayweather coming off a year layoff bit off more than he could chew taking the fight with ortiz.
