I just watched the movie on Saturday and I have to say I was really disappointed, honestly I dont know how it got an Oscar Nod for best picture because it clearly isnt however DDL can flippin act. It is a very good performance but I liked him a lot better in There Will Be Blood.

      Wonderful film.

I presume you've seen 'In the name of the Father', as well?

tnx for the suggestion... that should make my day-off worthwhile...

incidentally, a very green DDL was an extra in attenborough's gandhi... he played a racist bum in that film...

Agreed, although the Master isn't as good as I'd hope Joaquin did so well in that movie.

I'm sick of the biopics it usually is just a cheap oscar grab.

DDL is the type of actor that fully immerses himself in a role. Almost to the point where you aren't suprised if he starts using the mannerisims of some of the people he has portrayed in his everyday life.

Greatest actor of this generation, deserves to be the first to win that third Oscar for Best Actor.

he was so into character that he chose confine himself in wheelchair for months & literally be carried around the set during filming

his picture should be the poster face for word method acting
