    Great vid I found recently of the most violent aspect of the game.

    Are they allowed to do that? Seems like unnecessary risk of serious harm. I don't see what benefit could come out of it unless there is a rule that if the catcher drops the ball on contact then they are safe.

      OK, seems like if the force them to drop the ball they are safe. That seems like a really dangerous rule, but w/e.

          I am a full supporter of bulldozing...If you dont wanna get hammered, dont block the plate

          But a collision montage cant be legit with this

                Yeah, it was brief. The focus is on collisions at the plate though.

                  You can prevent the catch from occurring as well if the ball hasn't arrived yet. Keep in mind you can only do it if the catcher is positioned to block the plate to prevent the runner from tagging, so it's actually the catcher who initiates/sets himself up.
